It doesn't have to be winter inside your building

As winter slowly settles in and we become accustomed to the cold outside, we don't have to sacrifice our comfort inside. There can be many reasons why your office, classroom or lobby may feel colder than is comfortable. In a fast paced environment where people are constantly coming and going through doors, heat is constantly escaping. Maybe your building is old and lacks insulation? Perhaps the doors and windows leak too much air? Or most commonly your furnace or air handler is outdated and underperforming?

The first two possibilities above can be extremely expensive or even impossible to fix.  For most, replacing an entire air handling unit is likely not in the budget. However, simple improvements to your heating unit doesn't have to break the bank.

We are often seeing 30 to 40 year old coils that have been repaired so many times that they are at half capacity. Many have never been cleaned and the fins are clogged and restricting airflow and performance. This can cause a major strain on your blowers and pumps, over time causing failures. Not to mention the inconvenience of having interruptions of last minute repairs and installations.

The average commercial size steam coil costs about $1,800 new. A duct booster coil around $500 or an air handling hot water coil roughly $1,200. This can be a small price to pay for comfort and reliability. Most of our coils come with a waffle or sine-wave fins to maximize the heat rejection. In comparison to a 40 year old coil with a flat or spiral fin, the difference in capacity is substantial. With energy prices constantly increasing, you can't afford not to update your heating coils.
